Carter Lumber is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to assist customers in-store with product information, estimates, and transactions. You will support the Outside Sales Reps, follow up on quotes, and help manage inventory while contributing to a commission-based compensation plan.

Strong communication and a friendly, team-oriented attitude are essential as you help homeowners and professionals select the right building materials for their projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales or customer service.
• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Effective communication skills.
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful, but not required.

• Ability to ensure sales and profit goals are met.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers by sharing product information and providing advice.
• Produce estimates for packages/projects and process transactions.
• Follow up on online quotes and qualify new leads.
• Support Outside Sales Reps as needed.
• Assist in inventory control by conducting cycle counts and resolving shortages/overages.
• Complete training to learn products, POS system, and paperwork.
