Job summary

CASA of Travis County seeks an HR Manager to drive recruitment, payroll, and benefits programs supporting the organization’s mission in Austin. The role partners with leadership to implement strategic HR initiatives and ensure compliance with laws and grant requirements.

You will manage onboarding, performance evaluations, and leave administration, while maintaining confidential records and fostering CASA’s culture of service to children and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or 4 years of directly related experience.
• Advanced computer skills and high proficiency in Microsoft Suite products.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple projects with attention to detail and accuracy while meeting deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and discretion; strong ethical character handling confidential and financial information.
• Commitment to CASA’s mission, vision, values and operating principles.
• Ability to work collaboratively, flexibly and positively with staff, board members and volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Manages recruitment, hiring, and onboarding as key components of HR program.
• Coordinates applicant vetting with focus on child safety practices; ensure positive candidate experience.
• Implements systems to attract/retain candidates, emphasizing child safety, benefits and culture.
• Oversees interview scheduling and participant coordination.
• Updates job knowledge through educational opportunities and professional networks.
• Researches and implements HR process improvements for applicant tracking, payroll, and benefits.
• Maintains accurate employee records and ensures background checks and insurance documentation are current.
• Conducts new employee orientation and benefits review.
