Job summary

Hospice Austin seeks a Director of Human Resources to partner with the CEO and lead HR strategy for a patient-centered hospice organization. You will oversee talent acquisition, employee relations, development, total rewards, compliance, and HR operations, aligning workforce initiatives with regulatory requirements and organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Experience leading HR in healthcare or nonprofit settings.
• Strong knowledge of employment law, regulatory compliance, and HIPAA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Align HR strategies with organizational goals to support patient-centered care.
• Lead talent acquisition, onboarding, and credentialing processes for healthcare staff.
• Oversee employee relations, performance management, and leadership development.
• Manage total rewards, benefits, payroll coordination, and HRIS data accuracy.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, CMS and related laws.
• Provide data-driven insights through HR metrics and KPIs to senior leadership.
• Lead succession planning and training initiatives to build leadership capacity.
• Supervise HR team and coordinate cross-functional HR initiatives.
