Job summary

Tuerk House in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Part-Time Peer Recovery Coach to support Admissions or Clinical Director. The role focuses on mentoring clients in recovery, helping access resources, and following up with former participants to improve outcomes.

Responsibilities include discharge planning, community connections, peer advocacy, documentation in the Kipu system, and coordinating transportation. Requires a high school diploma, CCAR training within 6 months, and 0–2 years in the field;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CCAR training required or obtained within 6 months.
• 0–2+ years experience in field or related field.
• CPR/AED and de-escalation skills preferred.
• Driver’s license may be required depending on unit.
• Peer recovery support experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Admissions/Clinical Director as a role model and advocate.
• Assist clients in identifying resources for long-term stability.
• Follow up with former patients who did not complete the program.
• Update the Kipu system with client outcomes.
• Discharge planning and community connections.
• Provide peer support and transportation as needed.
• Engage clients via phone/email for ongoing support.
• Document referrals and outcomes in the chart.
