Tuerk House, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Peer Recovery Coach in Baltimore, MD.

The role supports admissions and clinical staff by mentoring clients in recovery, helping identify resources for long-term stability, and following up with former patients who did not complete the program. The PRC updates client outcomes in the Kipu system, engages clients via calls or email, and coordinates with the recovery team to ensure appropriate care and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CCAR training completed or begun within six months of employment.
• 0–2 years in field or related field preferred.
• CPR/AED certification preferred.
• Driver's license may be required depending on unit placement.
• Previous peer recovery support experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support and mentorship to clients in recovery.
• Assist with discharge planning and ensure plans are understood.
• Facilitate connections to mutual self-help groups.
• Advocate for clients and support goal setting.
• Identify client needs and relay to clinical staff.
• Assist with transportation to referrals or services.
• Coach clients on using community resources independently.
• Maintain ongoing contact via phone/email for post-program support.
• Offer recovery education at all stages of recovery journey.
• Develop relationships with community groups and agencies.
• Complete documentation and data entry in organizational systems.
• Refer clients to community services and track outcomes.
• Conduct client room searches to ensure compliance.
