Job summary

Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Peer Recovery Coach to provide supportive services and recovery resource connections to adults recovering from substance use disorders. You will serve as a role model, mentor, advocate, and motivator within the care team to promote long-term recovery and engagement in individualized plans.

Qualifications

• Lived experience of recovery from substance use required.
• High school diploma or GED required; PRC-focused education and training preferred.
• Ability to build supportive relationships with individuals experiencing substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.
• Knowledge of SBIRT preferred.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage patients and facilitate referrals to recovery resources.
• Maintain post-discharge follow-up with patients.
• Connect individuals with community and transitional resources.
• Collaborate with care team to support patients with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.
