Qualifications

• Schedules patient appointments and maintains the practice management system.
• Collects demographics and insurance information for entry into the system.
• Verifies insurance coverage and informs patients about referrals/authorizations.
• May schedule tests or consults and initiate reminder calls.
• Acts as liaison with Administrative Assistant staff to address patient concerns.
• Requires a High School diploma/GED and 1 year clerical experience in a medical setting.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance coverage prior to appointments and communicate needs for referrals.
