Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a Scheduling Specialist to receive inbound requests from patients and physicians, coordinate complex appointment scheduling across the system, and maintain patient demographics and insurance pre-registration information. You will also make outbound reminder calls and support various scheduling needs to ensure timely care.

Ideal candidates have 2 years of experience in patient scheduling, strong communication skills, and familiarity with scheduling

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in patient scheduling or access in a healthcare setting.
• 2 years of experience in provider and/or multispecialty scheduling in a clinical setting.
• Experience with Epic Cadence software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate complex appointment scheduling for physicians and self-referrals using scheduling tools.
• Meet quality metrics and department standards for call handling.
• Enter appointments accurately in scheduling systems with insurance verification and demographics.
• Stay current with division updates and communications via email, SharePoint, or meetings.
• Assist training of new scheduling team members.
• Support imaging sites with scheduling and workflow optimization.
