Job summary

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a Scheduler to coordinate daily scheduling of patient appointments for medical procedures. You will interact with physicians, diagnostic staff, office personnel, and patients by phone, fax, and email to ensure accurate and timely scheduling.

The role requires at least a high school diploma and about one year of clinical scheduling experience; Spanish fluency is a plus. This position is based at the Atlanta campus with day shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience in clinical scheduling or externship.
• Fluency in Spanish or another language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Schedules patient appointments for medical procedures for designated department and communicates with doctors' offices to resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinates all aspects of procedure scheduling and ensures guidelines are followed.
• Collects and verifies patient demographics/insurance information and enters data into scheduling systems.
• Notifies patients and parents of appointment details and required preparations.
• Utilizes scheduling systems and supports quality assurance activities.
