Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking an administrative professional to support physician operations and ensure efficient daily clinic operations. The role involves scheduling, coordination with care teams, and maintaining schedules using Epic and other tools.

Requirements include at least one year in an administrative role (preferably in a physician office) and a high school diploma; a bachelor’s degree in Business or Healthcare is preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in administrative or office management role (physician office clinic setting preferred)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Serves as primary contact and resource for patient appointment scheduling; may include collaboration with centralized contact center teams
• Maintains provider and resource schedules using Epic and system tools
• Works to meet department and patient access goals and metrics
• Coordinates with clinical teams to ensure information and resources are available for patient care
• Reviews Epic InBasket messages, emails, and phone calls related to scheduling and patient access
• Optimizes schedule utilization by monitoring recalls, wait lists, and referrals
• Handles patient communication via faxes, mail, calls, and forms
• Performs general administrative duties and meeting coordination
