10 Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Inc. is seeking a scheduling professional to coordinate patient appointments for medical procedures.

You will interact with physicians, diagnostic staff, office staff, and families to ensure accurate, timely scheduling and data entry, while supporting a safe patient care environment. The role requires attention to detail, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting with minimal supervision.

Formación

• Experience using computers with high accuracy.
• Completed a course in medical terminology or equivalent experience.
• One year of scheduling experience or externship approved by Children’s.
• For Radiology, experience in a clinical or healthcare setting.

Responsabilidades

• Schedule patient appointments for medical procedures in the designated department and resolve discrepancies with offices.
• Coordinate all aspects of procedure scheduling according to guidelines.
• Collect and enter patient demographics/insurance information accurately into the scheduling system.
• Monitor insurance authorization needs and schedule accordingly with policies.
• Coordinate scheduling for specific modalities with staff and doctors’ offices.
• Confirm schedules with offices and communicate instructions to parents.
• Use the scheduling system and electronic order management to maximize efficiency.
• Assist in identifying improvements to scheduling processes and participate in QA.
