Job summary

Akron Children's in Akron, OH is seeking a Staff Nurse for part-time night shifts (7pm–7:30am). This role provides nursing care with specialized knowledge and judgment within pediatric care. Mentorship, evidence-based practice and safety duties are part of the job. Requirements include BSN, Ohio RN license, BLS, and preferably 1 year of experience; EPIC

Qualifications

• BSN required or must be obtained within 5 years from date of hire.
• Current BLS certification required by American Heart Association.
• Active RN license in Ohio required.
• 1 year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and direct nursing care with family-centered focus.
• Provide care for patients across age groups per scope of practice.
• Demonstrate leadership and professional duties.
• Deliver patient-centered care.
• Participate in quality improvement and safety activities.
• May precept and mentor new staff.
