Job summary

Akron Children’s Hospital is seeking a Staff Nurse to provide pediatric nursing care during full-time night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) with a 36-hour weekly schedule. The role emphasizes leadership, family-centered care, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualified candidates will hold a BSN (or be within five years of completion), Ohio RN licensure, and BLS certification. Experience with EPIC and MS Office is preferred to support care delivery and documentation.

Qualifications

• The candidate must have a BSN or be working toward it within five years.
• Current Ohio RN license and BLS certification are required.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience is preferred.
• Proficient with electronic medical records and standard office software.
• Strong leadership and teamwork abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care with family-centered focus.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to clinical staff as needed.
• Deliver patient-centered care across pediatric settings and collaborate with providers.
• Participate in quality improvement, safety, and informatics tasks.
• Support operations and ensure legend customer service for patients and families.
