Advocate Health’s Levine Children’s Hospital is seeking a respiratory therapist to provide direct pediatric respiratory care under physician orders and approved protocols. You will manage ventilators, assess patient needs, document care, and collaborate with the care team in a busy NICU/PICU environment.

The role requires an AMA-approved schooling in Respiratory Care, RRT credential, North Carolina license, BLS, and critical care experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Respiratory Care.
• Associate’s RRT or RRT Equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist by the NBRC.
• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in NC.
• BLS required; advanced certifications per policy.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrates knowledge of oxygen delivery modes and equipment.
• Administers therapeutic procedures and performs diagnostics as per policy.
• Initiates and manages mechanical and non-invasive ventilation.
• Evaluates therapies and makes recommendations for plans of care.
• Documents therapy and communicates with care team.
• Performs emergency respiratory care procedures and sampling analysis.
• Works independently across patient care areas and uses EMR effectively.
• Follows safety guidelines and regulatory requirements.
