Job summary

Atrium Health Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte, NC, seeks a Respiratory Therapist for full-time night shifts. The role offers a sign-on bonus eligibility and a 36-hour work week with competitive pay ranging from $30.70 to $46.05 per hour.

You will autonomously assess and adjust therapies, manage ventilators, document care, and collaborate with intensivists and the care team to support critically ill neonates and children across ICU units.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Respiratory Care.
• Associate's RRT or RRT Equivalent required.
• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in North Carolina.
• BLS required per policy.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Advanced certifications per facility policy/standards.
• 2 years critical care experience for certain ED roles.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates autonomy in assessing, implementing, and adjusting respiratory therapies.
• Independently adjust ventilator settings and oxygenation strategies, providing real-time recommendations.
• Implement weaning protocols and optimize patient outcomes using critical thinking.
• Maintain precise documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
• Work in a cutting-edge pediatric healthcare environment with specialized ICU units and therapist-driven protocols.
• Collaborate with intensivists, neonatologists, and the multidisciplinary care team.

Education
