Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Respiratory Care.
• Associate's degree in Respiratory Care required; RRT or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the applicable state; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge in oxygen delivery and equipment; conducts prescribed therapeutic procedures.
• Administers therapies and explains purpose, benefits, and risks.
• Performs diagnostic procedures per policy.
• Initiates and monitors mechanical and non-invasive ventilators; aware of critical care duties.
• Evaluates current therapies and makes care plan recommendations.
• Documents therapy and communicates results to the care team.

Education

Associate's degree in Respiratory Care

RRT certification / equivalent

Bachelor's degree (preferred)
