Job summary

Advocate Health in North Carolina is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a full-time night shift in the NICU and other units. The role requires NICU experience, an RRT credential, and licensure in the state. The position offers a sign-on bonus and 36 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC
• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner/LRT in the practicing state
• Basic Life Support for healthcare providers (BLS) required
• BA/BS or higher in respiratory care preferred or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of oxygen delivery modes and related equipment and conducts prescribed therapies
• Administers therapies, understands purposes and benefits, and performs diagnostic procedures per policy
• Initiates and monitors mechanical and non-invasive ventilation
• Evaluates current therapies and makes care plan recommendations
• Documents therapy and results and communicates with the healthcare team
• Performs blood gas analysis and interprets results to guide treatment
• Works independently across patient care areas and supports co-workers
• Follows safety guidelines and completes regulatory requirements
