Atrium Health Levine Children's Hospital PT Variable is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to perform direct respiratory care under physician orders. The role involves ventilator support, monitoring life-support equipment, and collaborating with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications include AMA-approved respiratory program completion and NC licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, with RRT or equivalent preferred and BLS required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Respiratory Care with RRT or RRT-equivalent.
• BLS certification required and North Carolina licensure.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; advanced certifications per facility policy may be required.

Responsabilités

• Perform direct respiratory care per physician orders and protocols.
• Consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and adjust plans of care.
• Initiate and monitor mechanical and non-invasive ventilation.
• Evaluate current therapies and document results in EMR.
• Communicate patient status and therapy outcomes to care team.
• Perform timely blood gas sampling and analysis.
• Maintain respiratory care equipment and ensure safety compliance.
• Adhere to departmental procedures and regulatory requirements.
