Job summary

OrthoCarolina’s Pediatric office in Charlotte seeks a Patient Services Specialist to greet patients, prepare forms, and enter patient information into EPIC for accurate claims processing.

The role requires excellent customer service, basic insurance knowledge, and familiarity with EMR systems; prior medical clinic experience is preferred. This is a regular, full-time position offering comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Working knowledge of insurance.
• Epic/EMR background a plus.
• Medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Prepares paperwork necessary for the patient visit.
• Answers incoming phone calls and directs calls, makes appointments, performs cashier duties as directed including posting of charges.
• Collection of co-payments/co-insurance and balances due.
• Follows the process for release of medical information and FMLA/disability forms completion as requested.
