Responsibilities

• Greets patients and guests, confirms identity, and provides information about their visit.
• Performs check-in and check-out functions as directed.
• Updates patient identification, demographics and insurance information.
• Completes patient registration as needed.
• Collects co-payments, past-due balances and payments at point of service.
• Posts payments and processes billing information; assists with end-of-day cash reconciliations.
• Keeps waiting area clean and comfortable.
• Informs patients of delays or changes in appointment status.
• Schedules appointments as necessary.
• If in ICC, may float to other ICCs/departments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
