Job summary

Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) is seeking a Patient Services Rep I to provide a positive experience for patient families. You will handle clerical tasks including answering calls, registration, and check-in/out, and collect co-pays or deductibles. You will schedule and verify patient appointments in a busy, pediatric care environment.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM. High school diploma required; one year of customer service experience preferred, bilingual English/Spanish a

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in customer service, preferably in a medical front office setting.
• Basic knowledge of computers, filing and organizational skills.
• Ability to deal effectively with the public.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-families with a positive experience by performing clerical tasks and handling patient interactions.
• Answer incoming calls and manage registration, check-in/out procedures, and collection of co-pays or deductibles.
• Schedule and verify patient appointments and coordinate with care teams as needed.
