Job summary

Northwest Arkansas Pediatrics is seeking a friendly Receptionist (Peds) to warmly greet patients, verify demographics, and manage check-in/out with professionalism. You will verify insurance eligibility, collect co-pays, and help keep patient records accurate and up-to-date.

Responsibilities include scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling appointments, plus directing calls and supporting the team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous medical receptionist, clerical, or customer service experience preferred.
• Available to work Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• Occasional travel between Pinnacle Hills (Rogers) and Fayetteville clinics may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients and families with a friendly, professional attitude.
• Check patients in and out while verifying demographic info, insurance eligibility, and pre-visit screenings.
• Maintain accurate patient records; ensure current insurance cards and PHI forms are on file.
• Verify insurance eligibility and Medicaid PCP assignments before appointments.
• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments per clinic guidelines.
• Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances at service time.
• Answer and direct incoming calls and relay messages to staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team.
