Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative to serve as the first contact for patients, providing courteous and professional interactions across phone, in person, or secure messaging channels. The role includes verifying information, scheduling visits, and guiding patients through registration and billing processes.

The position is part-time at 20 hours per week, located at Mountain Family Health in Park City, Utah, with a focus on accuracy, empathy, and compliant handling

Qualifications

• Six months of customer service experience.
• Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and PHI of patients.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients; check-in/out and verify information.
• Document all calls and encounters in EMR accurately.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals/tests as needed.
• Verify insurance information and collect required forms and signatures.
• Educate patients on financial assistance and collect payments per policy.
• Maintain awareness of clinic operations to ensure high-quality service.
