Job summary

Utah Valley Pediatrics is seeking a friendly Receptionist to join our pediatric office in Provo, UT. You will be the first point of contact, greeting families, handling check-ins, scheduling, and maintaining records in our EHR system.

Responsibilities include answering phones, guiding patients on policies, collecting copayments, and coordinating patient flow to minimize wait times. This on-call, in-person role requires a high school diploma and HIPAA awareness, with bilingual skills a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior receptionist or customer service experience, preferably in a medical setting.
• Familiarity with EHR systems and basic office software.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a professional phone manner.
• Ability to multitask and maintain calm in a fast-paced environment.
• HIPAA confidentiality adherence and influenza vaccination may be required.

Responsibilities

• Front Desk Management: Greet patients, check-in, verify information, schedule appointments.
• Communication: Answer calls, provide policy information, notify about appointments and changes.
• Administrative Duties: Collect copayments, process billing, maintain patient records in EHR.
• Supportive Tasks: Coordinate patient flow, keep reception area organized, assist medical staff.
