Job summary

Nicklaus Children's Hospital in Miami is seeking an experienced RN for Emergency Services (Full Time, Days) to lead comprehensive pediatric and level I trauma patient care. You will assess, implement, and evaluate a multidisciplinary plan of care, ensuring family-centered services in a fast-paced Magnet-designated environment.

The role requires Florida RN licensure (or eNLC), current BLS; PALS and CPI are required, with ACLS preferred within a year.

Qualifications

• Active Florida RN license or Multi-State Compact (eNLC) in good standing.
• CPR/BLS certification must be current throughout employment.
• PALS certification required; CPI certification useful within 1 year of hire.
• ACLS certification within 1 year of hire preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-system assessments (cardiac, respiratory, neuro).
• Develop and execute care plans, reassess patient progress.
• Administer meds, start/monitor IVs, collect specimens, perform POC tests.
• Communicate critical status with physicians and care team.
• Provide 1:1 care for critical patients and assist with transport.
• Complete discharge planning and accurate EMR documentation.
• Respond to codes/traumas per department policies.
• Document and review triage data and vital signs.
• Ensure PPE use and maintain safe patient environment.
• Meet unit standards and regulatory requirements of accrediting bodies.
