Job summary

Nicklaus Children's Health System in Miami seeks a Pediatric Emergency RN to assess, implement, and oversee care for pediatric trauma patients in a fast-paced ER. You will work in a Magnet-designated hospital emphasizing compassionate, family-centered care under nursing leadership.

The role requires active Florida RN licensure, BLS, PALS, CPI, and experience in pediatric emergency settings, with on-call coverage as needed. EMR proficiency and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• RN license Florida or Multi-State Enhanced Nursing License Compact (eNLC) must be active throughout employment.
• BLS certification must be active throughout employment.
• PALS certification must be active within 2 years.
• CPI certification must be active within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive multi-system assessments and develop care plans.
• Communicate patient progress and critical findings to physicians and team.
• Administer medications, start/monitor IVs, assist procedures as needed.
• Provide 1:1 care for critically ill patients and assist with transports.
• Complete hand-offs, admissions, and discharge planning with accurate documentation.
