Job summary

Nicklaus Children's in Miami, FL is seeking a registered nurse for the Emergency Services, full-time night shift, to assess, implement, and oversee care for pediatric ER and Level I trauma patients in a fast-paced, Magnet-designated hospital. The role requires Florida RN licensure (or eNLC), BLS, PALS, CPI, and ACLS within 1 year.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, document carefully, and participate in on-call coverage and patient safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license or Compact license (eNLC) in good standing.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association in good standing.
• PALS certification in good standing (within 2 years).
• CPI certification in good standing (within 1 year).

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive multi-system assessments for pediatric emergencies.
• Communicate progress and critical findings with physicians and care teams.
• Administer medications, start/monitor IVs, and assist procedures, including sedation as required.
• Provide 1:1 patient care for critical patients and facilitate safe patient transport.
• Perform shift hand-offs with accurate discharge planning and documentation.
