Nicklaus Children’s Health System in Florida seeks a Pediatric Emergency RN to assess, implement, and oversee care plans for critically ill children in a fast-paced ER. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, maintain certifications, and ensure high-quality, patient-centered care aligned with Magnet standards.

The role emphasizes rapid assessment, effective communication, on-call flexibility, and adherence to evidence-based practices within a top-tier pediatric hospital.

Competenze

• Florida RN license and active in good standing
• BLS certification current
• PALS certification current within 2 years
• CPI certification current within 1 year
• Pediatric emergency nursing experience preferred
• Proficiency with EMR systems preferred

Mansioni

• Perform comprehensive multi-system assessments and develop care plans
• Communicate patient progress and critical findings with physicians and care team
• Initiate and monitor IVs, collect specimens, perform point-of-care testing
• Provide 1:1 patient care for critical patients and coordinate movement for procedures
• Complete bedside handoffs and ensure accurate discharge planning
• Document triage and patient history per hospital policies
• Document radiology workflows, consents, and discharge documentation in EMR
• Respond to codes/traumas per protocols
• Conduct regular rounds to address patient and family needs
• Ensure PPE usage and maintain a safe care environment
• Meet unit standards for CEI/SEI and regulatory compliance
• Supervise and monitor behavioral health patients per CPI guidance
