Job summary

Thom Child & Family Services in Boston, MA seeks a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide home and community-based early intervention services to infants and toddlers birth to three and their families. You will partner with caregivers to deliver individualized, evidence-based supports in family homes and local settings.

The role emphasizes parent coaching, IFSP development, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. A driver’s license is required; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist by the MA Board of Registration of Allied Health Professions.
• Experience with infants, toddlers and families preferred.
• Ability to engage in meaningful, therapeutic relationships with children, parents/caregivers, and community partners.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Current driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Bilingual/Bicultural a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in multidisciplinary team assessments of the client’s developmental status.
• Assess family and child strengths/resources, concerns, and progress.
• Provide child and family centered services for children birth to three using a parent coaching model.
• Coordinate services by scheduling, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the intervention plan.
• Develop IFSP goals with families and support parent-child interactions.
