Job summary

Thom Child & Family Services in Worcester, MA is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide home and community-based early intervention services to infants and toddlers aged birth to 3, partnering with families to deliver individualized, family-centered care.

You will participate in multidisciplinary assessments, develop IFSP goals, document progress, and coordinate services to support developmental outcomes while maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist by the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Allied Health Professions.
• One year of early intervention experience or at least one year of experience working in pediatrics.
• Knowledge of family systems and early childhood development.
• Ability to engage in meaningful, therapeutic relationships with children, parents/caregivers, and community partners.
• Commitment to delivering individualized and culturally humble services.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Abide by all confidentiality and professional boundaries standards.
• Good computer skills and strong documentation skills.
• Current driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Bilingual/Bicultural a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in multidisciplinary team assessments of client’s developmental status.
• Provide direct services and activities developmentally appropriate for children 0-3 and their families.
• Participate in the development of Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) with goals, objectives, and strategies.
• Complete progress notes, reports, assessments, and correspondence.
• Provide individual and group intervention for infants and toddlers from birth to three with developmental delays or risks.
• Assess family and child strengths/resources, concerns, and progress.
• Act as service coordinator for the family by scheduling and monitoring the intervention plan.
• Provide supportive professional assistance to families.
• Facilitate parent-child interactions to support child development.
