Thom Child & Family Services in Westfield, MA seeks an licensed Occupational Therapist to join their Early Intervention team, providing home and community based services to infants and toddlers birth to three and their families.

You will collaborate with families to create individualized IFSPs, coach parents, and ensure services are family-centered, evidence-based, and culturally sensitive within a flexible schedule.

Formación

• Must hold an OT license in MA.
• Experience with infants, toddlers and families preferred.
• Knowledge of family systems and early childhood development.
• Ability to engage in meaningful therapeutic relationships with children, parents, and partners.
• Commitment to culturally humble services.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsabilidades

• Participate in multidisciplinary team assessments of the client’s developmental status.
• Assess family and child strengths/resources, concerns, and progress.
• Provide child and family centered services and activities developmentally appropriate for children birth to three and their families using parent coaching model.
• Provide service coordination by scheduling, developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the intervention plan for each family, ensuring that appropriate procedures and timelines are followed.
• Partner with families in the development of Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs) to identify goals, objectives, and strategies related to the child’s development.
• Facilitate parent-child interactions to encourage child's development; assist families to act as advocates for their child.
• Complete progress notes, reports, assessments, and correspondence as appropriate using the Thom electronic documentation system.
• Provide individual and group intervention for infants and toddlers from birth to three years old who have developmental delays or who are at risk for delays in the areas of cognition, adaptive behavior, social-emotional development, self-care, fine motor, gross motor, and communication.
