Job summary

Penn State Health - Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA, invites a Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. This role requires progressing to a high level of autonomy and independence in direct patient care.

The NP manages patients across neurosurgical, trauma, oncology, nephrology, pulmonology, and cardiac services, including ventilation, ECMO, and CRRT, with in-house, round-the-clock coverage and weekend/holiday shifts.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a Critical Care or Acute Care NP program.
• PA CRNP license by PA Board of Nurse Examiners.
• National certification as an advanced practice nurse.
• ACLS and BCLS certifications.
• 3+ years of critical care experience as a staff nurse.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Pediatric ICU.
• Manage ventilation modes, ECMO, and CRRT.
• Collaborate with attending physicians, fellows, residents, nurses and healthcare staff.
• Provide education to residents, nurses and students.
• Provide round-the-clock, in-house coverage including weekends and holidays.
