Job summary

Penn State Health's Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Hershey Medical Center seeks a Physician Assistant to provide direct patient care in a high-acuity pediatric ICU, with potential for high autonomy in a collaborative environment.

The role involves caring for neurosurgical, surgical, trauma, hematology/oncology, nephrology, pulmonology, cardiac and post-operative cardiac patients, managing ventilation, ECMO, CRRT, and bone marrow transplant processes; in-house coverage, weekends and holidays

Qualifications

• Experience working in Pediatric Critical Care is required.
• License to practice in the State of employment; national certification or reciprocity.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a pediatric ICU setting.
• Collaborate with attending physicians, fellows, residents, nurses, and other health care professionals.
• Educate residents, nurses, and students as part of clinical teaching.
