Penn State Health's Hershey Medical Center is seeking a Physician Assistant to join the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. This role requires evolving to high autonomy, direct patient care, and adherence to the supervising agreement while caring for critically ill children.

The PA will manage complex cases across neurosurgical, trauma, oncology, nephrology, and cardiology services, including ventilation, ECMO, and CRRT, with in-house 24/7 coverage and weekend/holiday shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant Program.
• National Certification and licensure to practice in the employment state.
• BLS certification required.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct patient care in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
• Manage modes of mechanical ventilation, ECMO, and CRRT.
• Collaborate with attending physicians, fellows, residents, and nurses to deliver specialized critical care.
• Education and instruction to residents, nurses, students, and other healthcare professionals.
• Work in-house with round-the-clock coverage including weekends and holidays.
