Job summary

Penn State Health - Hershey Medical Center is seeking a Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner for their Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. The NP will work with critically ill patients and progress toward autonomous practice while following collaborative guidelines.

The role requires in-house, around-the-clock coverage, including weekends and holidays. Responsibilities include managing ventilation, ECMO and CRRT across diverse subspecialties and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in a Critical Care or Acute Care NP program is required.
• National certification as an advanced practice nurse is required.
• One year CRNP experience and three years of critical care experience as a staff nurse are required.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care in Pediatric ICU.
• Manage ventilation modes, ECMO, and CRRT.
• Provide care across neurosurgical, surgical, trauma, hematology/oncology, nephrology, pulmonology and cardiac services.
• Collaborate with attending physicians, fellows, residents, nurses and other care teams.
