Job summary

Penn State Health has an opportunity for a Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to work in our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in our Children's Hospital. This position requires the ability to progress to a high level of autonomy and independence.

The NP provides care to a variety of patients and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, including education for residents, nurses, and students.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a critical care or acute care NP program.
• Minimum one year CRNP experience and three years critical care staff nurse experience.
• Current PA CRNP license and national certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Pediatric ICU with high autonomy.
• Manage ventilation modes, ECMO, CRRT as applicable.
• Collaborate with attending physicians, fellows, residents, nurses and staff.
• Educate residents, nurses, students and other professionals both formally and informally.
