Job summary

Shriners Children’s seeks a Patient Access Representative to be the first contact for patients and families, coordinating scheduling and ensuring timely access to care. You will communicate with patients, families, and providers, triage calls, and accurately enter demographics and insurance details.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in patient access, scheduling, or registration within a healthcare setting.
• High School Diploma or GED required; an Associate degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the front door for patient scheduling and service inquiries.
• Provide accurate, timely information to patients, families and providers.
• Coordinate and schedule services using defined protocols across platforms.
• Enter accurate patient demographics, insurance, guarantor and clinical data.
• Initiate financial clearance processes such as eligibility verification and pre-certification.
• Identify delays or barriers to care and elevate issues to leadership.
