Shriners Children's is seeking a Patient Access Representative to ensure timely scheduling for patients needing services. You will be the first contact for patients and families, delivering excellent customer service and guiding them through the scheduling and registration process.

You will use diverse software to schedule appointments, verify benefits, and support management with process improvements. Requirements include a high school diploma and 3 years in patient access or related service;

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• 3 years of experience in patient access, scheduling, registration, or customer service in a healthcare environment.
• Associates degree or higher preferred.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and contact center software is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Serves as the front door of Shriners Children's for scheduling and information.
• Applies critical thinking to facilitate scheduling processes and guide patient flow.
• Accommodates special requests from internal and external customers.
• Triages calls to appropriate areas and uses scripts and protocols.
• Uses multiple software applications to schedule appointments and register patients.
• Obtains and enters accurate scheduling data, including demographics, insurance, and clinical information for financial clearance.
