Shriners Children’s is seeking a Patient Access Representative to be the first point of contact for patients and families, coordinating care access and scheduling services efficiently.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in patient access, scheduling, registration, or customer service within a healthcare setting.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree or higher preferred in a relevant field.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) such as Epic or Cerner preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the frontline for patient access, scheduling, and service inquiries.
• Provide accurate, timely information to patients, families and providers.
• Coordinate and schedule services efficiently while following scripts and guidelines.
• Enter patient demographics, insurance, and clinical details with accuracy.
• Identify delays or barriers to care and escalate to leadership as needed.
• Support process improvements and workflow enhancements.
