Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a seller-doer engineer who blends business development with technical engineering responsibilities. You will manage client relationships, price and write proposals, and seal geotechnical letters as the engineer of record.

Responsibilities include developing a client book, reviewing field data, coordinating with the lab, and representing the company at owner and design firm meetings. A valid PE license and strong sales orientation are required.

Qualifications

• We require an active PE license (civil/geotechnical/structural).
• 6+ years in construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, or special inspection with client-facing responsibilities.
• Demonstrated ability to price, negotiate, and decline unfavorable contracts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a client book for materials testing, special inspection, and geotechnical services.
• Scope, price, and write proposals; convert opportunities into signed work.
• Serve as engineer of record; review data, seal reports/letters, and coordinate with field staff.
• Direct technicians, coordinate with laboratory testing schedules, and attend owner meetings.
