DHR Health in Edinburg, TX is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the PCCU 4 team on days. You will deliver patient care across the nursing process, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, and adapt to unit needs while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Required: TX RN license, BLS; ACLS within six months; BSN preferred; cross training to like areas; opportunities to become a charge nurse and a preceptor after two years of nursing experience; hospital experience preferred.

Competenze

• Graduate of accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
• Current Texas RN license required
• BLS certification required

• Performs family-centered evidence-based nursing care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Implements physician's orders in a safe and accurate manner.

• Adheres to policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services.
• Informs the charge nurse of any anticipated and/or actual issues/problems.
• Maintains current with all new policies and procedures published.
• Provides direction to non-licensed nursing staff in the delivery of patient care.
• Anticipates potential problems situations and intervenes to offset any adverse impact.
• Contacts organ procurement organization to satisfy regulatory requirements for organ/tissue/eye donation; completes referral and places in medical record.
• Builds a positive work environment by guiding employees to support hospital mission; encourages teamwork.
• Ensures distribution and delivery of equipment/supplies as necessary.
• Flexibility in schedule to meet unit needs and weekend/holiday requirements.
• Plans and coordinates time schedule with peers for coverage.
• Participates in unit-based council/hospital committees.
• Attends mandatory unit and hospital meetings/classes.
• Ensures care is delivered per Nurse Practice Act and ANA Standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
