Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing required (BSN preferred).
• Current registered nurse license in the State of Texas required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification within three months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs family-centered evidence-based nursing care through the nursing process (assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Implements physician orders safely and accurately.
• Assists with admitting, discharging and transferring patients.
• Transcribes and implements new physician orders.
• Maintains detailed and accurate nursing records.
• Provides education and emotional support to patients and families.
• Maintains a safe and clean environment; participates in rounds and care coordination.
• Administers medications and therapies within scope of practice.
