Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing required.
• Texas RN license required.
• ACLS certification within 3 months of hire.
• PALS and NRP certification within 6 months of hire for Women’s Hospital employees.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to communicate clearly with all levels of nursing, administration, and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the facility mission, vision and values by communicating them to others.
• Delivers patient care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act of Texas and ANA Standards.
• Collaborates with the care team to ensure effective and efficient patient care.
• Maintains professional competence through continuing education and learning experiences.
• Addresses patient needs during admission to the operating room and supports procedure adherence.
