Qualifications

• Ability to practice nursing according to ANA standards.
• Clinical nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Provide family-centered evidence-based nursing care using the nursing process.
• Administer medications and therapies per physician orders.
• Assist with admitting, discharging and transferring patients.
• Transcribe and implement physician orders.
• Maintain detailed and accurate nursing records.
• Deliver health counseling and emotional support to patients and families.
• Prioritize patient needs and coordinate with the team.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of the unit.
• Provide direction to non-licensed staff as needed.
• Adhere to Texas Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards.
