Job summary

DHR Health in Edinburg, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 4th Floor, 3:3 day shifts. The RN provides holistic patient care through the nursing process, collaborates with the interdisciplinary team, and supports quality outcomes.

Requirements include a Texas RN license, preferably a BSN, ACLS within 3 months, and readiness to cross-train and pursue leadership roles as a charge nurse or preceptor after two years. English proficiency and hospital experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing required (BSN preferred).
• Current registered nurse license in the State of Texas required.
• ACLS certification within three (3) months of hire.
• Job requires cross training to like areas
• Willingness to be trained for charge nurse
• Willingness to become a preceptor after two years of nursing experience
• Hospital experience preferred
• Proficiency in English –verbal and written and computer skills required

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing care following the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Administers medications and therapies within safe nursing practice.
• Maintains detailed patient records and provides education to patients and families.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to deliver quality care and improve outcomes.
• Assists with admissions, discharges, and transfers; communicates with physicians and staff.
• Supports unit operations, safety, and adherence to policies and procedures.
