Job summary

AccessHealth is seeking a Personal Care Aide to provide essential daily living support in clients' homes. You will follow care plans, assist with bathing, grooming, ambulation, and meal preparation, and help with feeding and mobility activities.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent and at least 6 months of validated caregiving experience. Candidates must be 18+ and able to read and write. Strong communication and adherence to safety protocols are required.

Job description

This role is for a Personal Care Aide responsible for providing essential daily living support to clients in a home care setting.

• Responsibilities include: following care plans, assisting with bathing, grooming, ambulation, meal preparation (including special diets), feeding, oral hygiene, transfers, and using mobility equipment.
• Ensure safety by following infection control and universal precautions.
• Perform secondary tasks such as laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping, and meal prep as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and report safety concerns or client condition changes to the staffing agency.
• Respect client confidentiality, privacy, and rights, providing quality care within scope and seeking guidance when needed.
• Assist with medication self-administration (not direct administration).
• Report any abuse, neglect, or unsafe conditions immediately.

The role reports to the Home Care Manager or staffing supervisor, with accountability for care delivery and staffing issues.
