Job summary

The VIOS Clinic is seeking a Personal Care Aide to provide in-home caregiving services, ensuring client safety, comfort, and wellbeing.

You will follow personalized care plans, assist with daily living activities, monitor conditions, and report concerns promptly; examples include bathing, grooming, meal prep, and mobility support to help clients remain independent at home.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • At least 6 months caregiving experience validated through references.
  • Ability to read and write essentials.
  • Must be 18 years or older.

Role:

Responsibilities Include

  • Assisting clients with self-help activities such as bathing, grooming, ambulating, and meal preparation, including attention to special diets.
  • Providing basic personal care and utilizing equipment like walkers and wheelchairs.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean environment and adhering to infection control procedures.
  • Performing secondary tasks such as laundry, cleaning, shopping, and meal prep, within scope.
  • Respecting client confidentiality, privacy, and rights at all times.
  • Monitoring client conditions, reporting any concerns or unusual changes.
  • Assisting with self-administration of medications, but not directly administering medications.
  • Reporting suspected abuse, neglect, or unsafe environments immediately.
Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma preferred; ability to read and write essential.
  • At least 6 months caregiving experience validated through references.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Strong adherence to safety, infection control, and confidentiality protocols.
