Job summary

Treasure Valley Community College in Ontario, Oregon is seeking a full-time Payroll Clerk to run monthly payroll, maintain payroll records, and ensure accurate calculation and auditing of wages, while distributing payroll and related payables. Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field, or two years of payroll-related experience.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes, recordkeeping requirements, data accuracy standards, and customer service principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, and the ability to learn enterprise software systems.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and timely; maintain payroll records and compliance.
• Enter payroll data into HRIS for ~400 employees and verify accuracy of each payroll run.
• Process electronic payroll deposits and prepare requisitions for withholdings, benefits and other payables.
• Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports (W-2, W-3, PERS) and balance records.
• Assist with new hire orientation and act as payroll contact for employee inquiries.
