Job summary

Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP is seeking a payroll support consultant to provide direct client service and consulting on payroll matters. Under supervision, you will manage client relationships, maintain accurate payroll data, and assist with implementation and client training.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree preferred or 2 years experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience with ADP software platforms desirable.
• Working knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Highly detail oriented and focused on accuracy.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Strong adaptability and multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to effectively work in a deadline driven environment serving multiple clients.
• Ability to provide exceptional client service.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and consulting to payroll clients under supervision.
• Manage client relationships independently, escalating issues when needed.
• Ensure client payroll information is accurate and reconcile discrepancies.
• Process payrolls timely, update records, calculate bonuses or severance, verify tax calculations.
• Prepare reports of earnings, taxes, deductions, and employer contributions.
• Establish strong client relationships and maintain confidentiality of data.
• Provide technical software support to clients and train them on payroll processes.
• Assist implementation team and train clients on payroll processes as needed.
• Support new hires with guidance and share knowledge with colleagues.
