Job summary

Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP is seeking a payroll-focused professional to support clients directly, applying in-depth payroll knowledge and ADP platform expertise. You will manage client relationships, ensure accurate payroll data, and assist with timely processing, reporting, and tax calculations.

You will also help implement payroll solutions, train clients, and contribute to team development while maintaining data confidentiality and high service standards across multiple engagements.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree preferred or 2 years experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience with ADP software platforms desirable.
• Working knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Highly detail oriented and focused on accuracy.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Strong adaptability and multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to effectively work in a deadline driven environment serving multiple clients.
• Ability to provide exceptional client service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; communicates professionally at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and consulting to payroll clients.
• Understand payroll in depth and keep knowledge updated on payroll laws.
• Independently manage client relationships, escalating issues as needed.
• Ensure client payroll information is accurate within their payroll system.
• Process payrolls timely, update records, calculate bonuses or severance, review tax calculations.
• Prepare reports of earnings, taxes, deductions, and employer contributions.
• Establish strong client relationships through effective consulting on payroll matters.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee data and communicate information clearly.
• Provide technical software support to clients and train on processes.
• Identify out-of-scope work and new opportunities to expand services.
• Support implementation teams and train clients on payroll processes.
• Mentor new hires and contribute to team knowledge and product understanding.
